SAN DIEGO, CA, March 14, 2014 — On Thursday, March 13th, Oakwood Escrow hosted the 2nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Party along with FINE Magazine at their office in Rancho Bernardo, California. The event raised over $1000 for the American Cancer Society, a non-profit with the goal of eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Donations are being used to fund the American Cancer Society Relay For Life – a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to Celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight Back against the disease.
Community members who attended last night’s event enjoyed a photo booth with keepsake photos, raffle prizes, corn beef and chicken tacos, green margaritas and green beer. Donations were raised through an opportunity drawing and silent auction, as well as the purchase of luminaria bags that will light the way around the Relay For Life track. These bags will honor loved ones whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Oakwood Escrow would like to thank FINE Magazine for their support and donation of wine for the event, as well as the community for participating in the fundraiser. Oakwood Escrow’s VP Marketing and Sales Angie Stanley remarked, “The Oakwood team really appreciates that so many people come out to support such a great cause. Together we can accomplish great things for our community and those in need.”
Oakwood Escrow believes that by giving back to others, they are able to build a better community and world. Oakwood Escrow demonstrated this commitment in 2013 by giving back over $20,000 to local non-profits and charities and they continue to raise funds and awareness of important causes like the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Oakwood Escrow will be supporting Relay for Life by sending a team to run in Relay For Life of Valley Center on June 21, 2014 at Bates Nut Farm. For more information, visit www.relayforlife.org
