OTV had the privilege of covering the San Diego Professionals Against Cancer 22nd Annual Beer Festival at the Broadway pier in Beautiful Downtown San Diego! The proceeds from the San Diego Festival of Beer benefit local cancer charities. Over half a million dollars has been raised and donated to local charities, such as Rady Children’s Hospital and Cancer Angels. This is a 100% volunteer driven event that has grown immensely over the years. In 1993 the beer scene was just beginning; so a group of business professionals had friends donate local craft beer and throw a festival for a good cause! Their first event had about 700 poeple and now attracts almost 4,000 people!
This is an indoor/outdoor event with live music, 60 different breweries serving beer, and lots of yummy food! Tickets run about $50 and include admission to the event and 2 beer tastings! This is definitely an event you should think about attending in the future, we had a blast!
The Interviews include; Bena Leslie who is a board member for San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, Lisa McDonnell who is a board member for San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, Carrie Chandler who is the President for San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, and Rachel Cano who was the founder of the San Diego Beer Festival!
