With summer just around the corner, here at Oakwood Escrow, we want to share our favorite San Diego beach spots! This one is for all of you who can’t wait to get your toes in the sand and spend your days soaking up the sun and splashing in the waves!
Windansea Beach
At Windansea, you can relax on the soft sand while avoiding those huge summer crowds. Being more secluded than some of San Diego’s popular beaches, Windansea offers a great place to relax by the ocean with some awesome views from the cliffs that lead down to the beach.
Mission Beach
Mission Beach offers a great staycation day for the family. Here you can enjoy the San Diego sunshine at the sand volleyball courts, or enjoy ice cream on the boardwalk of Belmont Park, which offers rides and games for the kids. After a day of tanning, swimming, and enjoying some rides, the whole family can enjoy dinner with an ocean view at one of the restaurants located just steps away from the beach. What’s even better? Parking for the beach, Belmont Park, or any restaurant is free in the lots located right next to Belmont Park.
La Jolla Shores
Known as a great surf spot, La Jolla Shores offers more than just a place for those who love to surf. While locals and those alike may come here for the surf, La Jolla Shores is a great place for those with kids and those that love to explore. Adjacent to the beach is a park where you can set up a family picnic before spending the day building sandcastles and swimming in the ocean. Tide pools can be found further south down the beach during low tide for those who want to explore, where you can see crabs, fish, sea anemones, and other sea creatures in their natural habitat.
Pacific Beach
Located in the middle of Mission Beach and La Jolla, Pacific Beach offers a great spot to surf or relax while enjoying great San Diego weather. Either on the boardwalk or just a short walk from the beach, Pacific Beach is known for their multitude of restaurants, bars, and shops for an enjoyable day down by the shore. Take a stroll along the boardwalk to check out the scenery and stretch your legs after a long day of relaxing on the sand.
Moonlight Beach
If you find yourself more North of San Diego, Moonlight Beach is a great beach just West of Coast Highway in Encinitas. Here you will find a snack bar, a playground for the kids, and volleyball courts to keep you occupied during your beach day. After the beach, make your way to Coast Highway to enjoy some dinner at any of the restaurants that line the highway.
