With a laid back atmosphere, The Pioneer is the perfect dinner spot to grab a brew with some delicious BBQ. Whether you’re a pulled pork or burger fan, mac and cheese and cornbread are always the best sides to accompany your meal. However, you may want to spice things up by getting the Smoked Pulled Pork Dirty Fries, which include mac and cheese on these decadent fries. Is your mouth watering yet? If you’re looking to grab a beer with some friends, enjoy live music with some games and food trucks, Bolt Brewery has you covered. The space at Bolt Brewery is all outdoor, which allows for a great welcoming vibe with a yard filled with giant Jenga, cornhole, backyard Connect Four, and Disc Golf to name a few games. Although Bolt Brewery in La Mesa doesn’t serve food, there’s always food trucks right outside to grab a bite to eat with the wide selection of brews here. Not to mention, the beer garden is pet friendly, so bring your pups, friends, and lovers of beer with you for a great evening at Bolt Brewery!

One of La Mesa’s hidden gems, Helix Brewing needs to be on your list of go-to brewery stops in San Diego. Helix Brewing has an awesome outdoor patio that creates an incredible relaxing vibe and experience due to its string lights, taco Tuesday taco trucks, dog friendly atmosphere, and outdoor games. With a wide range of beer flavors, Helix Brewing is a great spot to bring friends together to wind down after a long work week.
