Hodad’s
It’s always fun to play tourist in your own city. Featured on Diners, Drive-In’s, and Dives, Hodad’s brings together the tourists and locals of Ocean Beach for some killer burgers and milkshakes. At almost any time of the day you will see a line coming out of Hodad’s, but don’t worry, it moves fairly quick and the wait is well worth it! No trip to Hodad’s is complete without ordering a milkshake, which comes with two giant scoops of ice cream on top! Don’t forget to add bacon to your burger, it comes as a crispy, crunchy, delicious bacon patty on top of your burger. And if you love french fries and onion rings? Don’t worry, just order a side of frings!

Stuffed!
Located in Pacific Beach, Stuffed! is the place for those of you who love cheese, mac and cheese, and those who love to get creative with your food options. The burger patties here are all stuffed with American cheese, so you get gooey, oozy cheese coming out of every bite you take. You can also order some loaded mac and cheese with your choice of toppings, ranging from caramelized onions and french onion straws, with the option of a hot dog, grilled chicken, or a burger patty. Don’t forget to order the tater tots as your side, and if you can’t get enough of mac and cheese, be sure to order the Boom Burger, but don’t be surprised if you can’t find your burger patty that’s lost in a sea of mac and cheese.

Burger Lounge
If you’re heading into La Jolla, you must stop at Burger Lounge. Not your average fast food joint, Burger Lounge prides themselves as being the original grass-fed burger, and offers beef, turkey, and veggie patty options, as well as a chicken sandwich, a fish sandwich, and a variety of salads. The spices they use on their fries make ordering the fries a must have, and the onion rings have the perfect crunch to them. Don’t forget to complete your meal by adding on a milkshake!

Burger Bench
If you’re located or venturing more North of San Diego and looking for a great burger place with a killer beer selection, Burger Bench is the place for you. Located in Escondido, Burger Bench gets all their ingredients from fresh, local farms and farmers markets to ensure the highest quality foods for their guests. Their beers are also sourced from local San Diego Breweries. They offer burgers, sliders, grilled cheese, and chicken options, but their sides are to die for. Regardless of the meal you order, you cannot leave Burger Bench without trying the truffle parmesan tots. Stop by Burger Bench for some great food and beer to start off the weekend right!
