Laura Toland started her escrow career in 1975 and was quickly promoted to being an escrow officer in 1976. Laura brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to Oakwood Escrow. Laura loves helping buyers, sellers and agents with understanding the escrow process and trying to eliminate some of their uncertainties and stress. She enjoys spending time chatting and getting to know her clients.
Laura and her husband have been married for 35 years and he is her best friend. Even after all these years they still laugh together every day. Laura has a younger brother who she enjoys spending time with that lives in Vista and a lot of family that lives in New Jersey who she is also very close to.
When Laura’s not working she loves to cook, travel, watch movies and listen to music. She also enjoys going on long walks hand in hand with her husband and taking road trips anywhere. She appreciates a good glass of wine and loves leisurely brunches and dinners. Laura enjoys having fun, joking around and laughing. She is passionate about animals and her most recent new hobby is gardening.
Laura is excited to join Oakwood because most of her career has been at independent escrow companies. After working for title companies the past 12 years she feels like she’s ‘coming home’. She feels that Oakwood embodies everything that independent escrow companies do well. Laura is thrilled to join the Oakwood Escondido team and looks forward to the family like work environment.
