OTV covers Camp Reach for the Sky, put on by the Seany Foundation! The Seany Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded to carry on the legacy of Sean Lewis Robins and his battle with Ewing sarcoma. This foundation was his vision, and his desire was to help advocate for other kids who had cancer; He wanted to name it “The Seany Foundation.” Sean passed away November of 2006, and his family’s goal was to make “The Seany Foundation” a reality.
Now the Seany Foundation has raised over 3.8 million dollars against childhood cancer! Over the years they have chosen to change their overall focus from research to projects that help the children cop with their emotional scars from cancer! The Seany foundation has many programs to support the children and their families. This camp that we did OTV at is one of many summer camps they offer. Their main goal with these programs is to bring relief and happiness to not only the kids fighting cancer, but also their families and siblings! As you can tell from this short video, the children are truly enjoying themselves and have a great outlook on life! We were so fortunate to be able to visit one of the Seany Foundation’s programs and see what it is all about!
The interviews are done by Molly O’Dell of Oakwood Escrow! The interviews include; Brian “Chopper” Bonert the Camp Advisory Chairman, Mitch Robins who is Seans father, Darian who is a camper, Tall Toes who is a Camp Counselor, Jacob “Bulldog” who is a camp counselor, Abbey who is a Camp Counselor and parent, and Cameron who is a camper!
